Mediation

Mediation is an unsolicited lawsuit. The term “mediation” comes from the Latin word “mediare”, meaning literally “to act in the middle”, i.e., “to conciliate” – between two or more parties. Mediation is based on proven procedures to achieve a settlement. The parties involved are led by an independant mediator. The key objective is to find and get a common solution. The required effort is generally lower than in an arbitration lawsuit, as the parties are able to contribute activly to the proceedings.
